Passive Income Work for November 1st

I finished the CreateSpace process and the paperback edition of Liberty is now available for purchase. The Kindle version is still available for 99 cents. Someone in my grassroots libertarian group already bought four copies as stocking stuffers. There's ten bucks I didn't have before, already above my payment threshhold, so I know I'm getting a deposit for November. Unfortunately, CreateSpace delays reports for a few days, so I have no idea how many physical paperbacks I've actually sold so far. Amazon Author page now reflects both editions of the book. About Me Squidoo lens and ended up buying a handgun accessory. This sale alone generated more revenue than some entire AdSense days, so this has demonstrated to me that Squidoo can indeed be a source of reliable revenue. Now it's just a matter of multiplication. Time to go write more lenses. passive income results. October 2012 - Total passive inco

I published Liberty: How America's Increasingly Socialist Agenda Impacts us All at Barnes and Noble, and it became available to Nook readers almost immediately. Their PubIt website is clean, comprehensive, easy to use, and it shows my current balance. I like their interface far better than Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing's website. What a turd that one is. ANYWHERE on the KDP website.

As part of my ongoing Passive Income strategy, I took several steps to improve my passive income today. Spontaneous Order and shared it to a variety of social bookmarking sites including StumbleUpon, Digg, and Google Plus; as well as on Facebook and Twitter. Liberty: How America's Increasingly Socialist Agenda Impacts Us All. Since I bought a copy to test its format on my iPad, and I read it, that qualifies me to review it. Obviously, I gave it five stars. We'll see whether Amazon actually publishes my self-review. Pinterest board for my eBooks and pinned the Liberty book to it. I have no idea whether any traffic will actually hit it.

Spontaneous Order

Spontaneous Order is the idea that most things that are of general benefit to society tend to organize themselves autonomously and spontaneously, in a fashion that is beyond the direct control of man. The idea of Spontaneous Order has been around for a long time, but it didn't garner much attention until around the turn of the century. Surely the notion of rationalism somewhat stems from the success of the physical sciences and the familiar methods of control and repeatable experimentation they naturally espouse.

Today, I signed up at GoDaddy Auctions and put 24 domains I'm not using up for sale. I'm interested in seeing how well my best domain names fare, such as DomesticLabor.com and CoedMeet.com. Surely someone will bid on those. Project Articleulator? I gave it its own Blogspot blog and made some enhancements. For example, now instead of just spidering ad infinitum, I feed it a topic and it builds an article around that topic. It kinda works. I plugged it into a thesaurus API and have it replacing random words to create what is effectively original content. Its results are now much less gibberishy. The API limits me to 10,000 thesaurus lookups per day, so that'll limit me unless I want to pay for extra API calls. I guess we'll see whether that blog actually generates enough ad revenue to justify it. Of course there's no real limit to how many places it can post its gibberish to... :) I posted 10 blog posts so far, so I'll be watching my adsense and that analytics account. CreateSpace, which will print my eBooks an[...]

Passive Income Strategy

Posted 10/22/2012 02:09 AM MT

I've been running Google Adsense on this blog for quite some time now, and it's generating a tiny but noticeable amount of income. Unfortunately, to live off it, it would have to be about 100 times as much. Still, it's passive income. I sit here and do nothing, and they send me money. I figure that now that I have something going, it's just a matter of multiplication. Sep 2012: Google AdSense: $31.45 Yep, that's it. All passive revenue from the entire month of September (a paltry 7,523 pageviews) doesn't even cover an hour of my time. Since passive revenue streams can't possibly cost money, the worst they can do is waste a little of my time. At least the average visit duration is pretty decent at 52 seconds. Liberty: How America's Increasingly Socialist Agenda Impacts us All. So far, the only sale was to myself, to test the layout on my iPad. So at 99 cents and a 35% royalty, I've technically lost about 74 cents on the book so far. Luckily someone bought my other eBook, How to Train Your Dog for fiv[...]

So yeah, I wrote another book. More of a booklet, really. As my regular readers will know, I've been reviewing the FY2013 federal budget in great detail and writing my findings into a book. Unfortunately, at less than halfway through, I've already enumerated over 400 pages of text, and it's slow going. Therefore I have decided to break it into smaller books. Liberty: How America's Increasingly Socialist Agenda Impacts us All, I have published the introductory sections of the larger book effort. It includes basically everything up until I started going through the individual departments. At a mere 31 pages, 99 cents seems like a steal for the wealth of knowledge contained therein. There was a dream that was the United States of America, in which people would be free to determine their own path through life, their own needs and wants, and indeed, their own destiny. In this dream, individual liberty would be the basic moral principle of society, and law would be designed only to guarantee the people as much free[...]
