in working on mv5, i've gotten to the point where i had to create an xml-rpc request string for pingbacks. unlike the custom c# pingback client from mv4, i'm making proper use of the system.xml namespace.

as midas installed my alternator last time and the new one went bad, i called them to price a replacement under the "their fault" clause. they offered to replace it at "cost": $250 for the part and likely some labor hidden somewhere amongst the red tape.
