today's changes include:
1. integrated ajax control toolkit. its controls will be added as needed, within the parameters of good taste.
2. sidebar is now in the form of a stylized accordion. sect

i've been playing with my new kentsfield q6600 quad-core cpu, seeing what kind of benefit it would provide in the real world. so i've been doing the same stuff i always do in the real world, but paying closer attention to performance. here are the results

microsoft has apparently increased the bandwidth cap of their file transfer manager. i'm using it to download windows vista ultimate sp1 rc0 from microsoft connect, and the bandwidth is alot higher and more even than i've seen it in the past.

i did some minor site work tonight on the new site, z-index 255. updates include improvements to the entry viewer, styles, and a user info panel. i also fixed a bug where some users accidentally got a banlevel of -1 when that should only happen for me :).

as some of you know, i code my asp.net code-behinds in two languages: c# for hobbies and projects, and vb.net for work. i never had to instantiate and invoke events manually in c# before, just in vb.net. but, because of the new stuff i'm doing in z-index

okay, so there's this bug in the ajax accordion that prevents a nested button from firing on the first click. that is, you have to click the button twice to cause its event handler to fire.
